The smelter you start with is an advanced piece of kit which is difficult to replicate. It will take a significant amount of research and some advanced materials to do so successfully. A basic smelter is also available to help relieve the bottleneck however it is slow, inefficient and cannot be upgraded.

The Organic Coal Enricher uses a small amount of power to increase the power generated by coal in a Pyrothermic Generator. The Organic Coal Enricher uses 0.1 pps over the span of 15 seconds to process normal coal into Enriched Coal.
